Monitoring was manually shut down during the update process and has now been reimplemented considering the new Arome Arctic files. Please note that 'Arome Arctic deterministic post processed' now refers to the arome_arctic_det_thunder_2_5km_yyyymmddThhZ.nc files.

From March 15. 2022 AROME-Arctic will change production regime. File names will be different, and contents of files will change. This change is done in order to bring AROME-Arctic closer to how MEPS has been produced since 04.02.2020. Parallell production has already started, and we encourage everyone to prepare their downstream systems as soon as possible.
Brief description of changes:
1. Extracted, full og sfx files are replaced by one deterministic file (det) with all parameters, updated every 3 hours. (archived) 2. Lagged ensemble over 12 hours is introduced. At first these consist of four control members lagged; but there will be more perturbed members at a later date. The new files will be: a) A “latest” file with a small subset of parameters from the ensemble, updated every 3 hours (not archived) b) A “subset” file with several parameters from the ensemble, updated every 3 hours (archived) 3. Many files will change from .nc to .ncml. These cannot be directly downloaded via thredds, but must be accessed using OPeNDAP. Files in the archive will continue to be regular .nc files. 4. pp-files will no longer be produced. helicopter_triggered_index and strike_probability will be in separate files (named “thunder” and “tracking” respectively)
