At 20:54 UTC 2026-05-09 a hardware component failed among the MET storage servers, which consequently caused many datasets to become unavailable on thredds.met.no and eventually leading to a complete outage for public users of thredds.met.no
At 23:30 UTC we reduced access to a number of datasets that had been affected and restored access to thredds.met.no, although with a reduced number of datasets available. Physical hardware repairs were at that time underway
At 10:00 UTC on 2026-05-10 we have again restored normal access to all datasets.
Our priority users were hardly affected during the outage.
